Substitute Teaching Positions New Substitute Teachers: You will need to apply with DESE before submitting your application to Neosho R-5 Schools. Go to www.dese.mo.gov/divteachqual/teachcert/ to begin your application process. Please refer to the "Help Guide to Certification System" on this page, if you have any questions. Once you have been cleared by the State, you may fill out the following application. Please email (haystammie@neosho.k12.mo.us) or return packet to our offices at 418 Fairground Road, Neosho, MO 64850. Substitute Teacher Application Returning Substitute Teachers: You will need to check the DESE website ( www.dese.mo.gov/divteachqual/teachcert/ )to see if you are verified to sub for the following year. Go into the licensure system to your profile to verify that you have a certificate. Please refer to the "Help Guide to Certification System" if you have any questions. If you did NOT work at least one full day in the district the previous year, DESE requires you to re-apply as a substitute teacher. Substitute certificates will NO LONGER be mailed. Your certificate may be viewed and printed on the DESE website.
