Character Education

The Neosho R-5 School District is partnering with the Neosho Area Coalition to develop and encourage good character among our students and citizens.  The district character education committee, PAWS (Positive Attitudes Worth Sharing), has chosen twelve monthly character traits and has defined each trait.  The committee has also developed ideas for incorporating good character into content lessons and daily application training.  The ideas are easily adapted to any work/employment environment or into church activities.  The goal of character education is to prepare each student to become a citizen of good character and an employee with a good work ethic.

Each month we will feature a business/organization that has incorporated these character traits in their daily work/employment/church activities.  This information will be found in the "Spotlight" section below.  We will include pictures of school and business activities as well, so you can see how important, fun, and rewarding these traits can be, when incorporated into everyday activities.

We look forward to having you partner with the school district and the coalition in this effort to promote and practice good character throughout the community.
