Mission Statement
The mission of the Neosho Middle School Library is to provide students and staff access to information in a variety of formats and to assist students in becoming lifelong learners and effective users of information.

2011-2012 Nominees for the Mark Twain Readers Award

The winner of the Mark Twain Readers Award is selected annually by students in grades 4-6.

 COMFY CHAIR READING

 La-Z-Boy of Neosho donated recliners and the Wildcat Sofa to the middle school library.  Names are drawn weekly from “The Comfy Chair Box”.   Students whose names are drawn enjoy time to read in one of the “Comfy Chairs”.  A student may enter the drawing when they come to the library with their class.

 The winner of the Harry S Truman Readers Award is selected annually by students in grades 6-8.

 

OUR LIBRARY  

The Middle School Library is open each school day from 7:30 am till 3:15 pm for students with library-related work to do.  The following features are available for students:  books, magazines, newspapers, internet access.

 

Books are checked-out for a period of two weeks, magazines for one week.  If the book is not in high demand, it may be renewed for an additional two weeks.

 

A student may have three books and one magazine checked out.   The student is responsible for the books and magazines until returned.  Students whose books not returned or returned damaged are charged for replacement or repair.  Borrowing privileges are revoked until the charges are paid.
